MSPs at the Scottish Parliament are to be given an opportunity to study the Owenstown project at first hand next week and to receive an up to date briefing on progress so far.
A Hometown Foundation project team will set out the overall concept of the scheme. This will inform the MSPs and allow them and their staff to find out more about the detail of what is planned.
The exhibition will run in the Garden Lobby at Holyrood from Tuesday 13th to Thursday 15th April and will include any developments since the project was launched last Autumn.
Hometown Foundation trustee Stuart Crawford said: “We’re delighted to be taking the details of the project direct to the politicians and we are looking forward to getting their reaction to this exciting development.”
Planning procedures are now underway including consultations with all interested groups and individuals. It is expected that a planning application will be lodged with South Lanarkshire Council by early 2011 at the latest.
